More on caning

The caning of Kartika Sari Dewi Shukarno in the Malaysian state of Pahang has been further postponed, after the sentence was challenged by someone who suggested that it was meted out not according to Islamic law. In addition, it has been argued the Pahang court had no jurisdiction over hudud sentences.
